Phase I of mixed-use development slated for mid-2014 grand opening.

Buckhead Atlanta, formerly the  Streets of Buckhead, has set a firm date for its grand opening.

The 1.5 million-square-foot mixed-use development should open its Phase I on July 7, 2014, the San Diego-based developer revealed to What Now Atlanta Monday.

Phase I of the project would include some of the most coveted restaurant real estate in the city including The Southern Gentlemen, Gypsy Kitchen, and Georgia’s first Shake Shack.

The development will have more that 300,000-square-feet of upscale retail, restaurants and cafes at completion, including Hermes.

Oliver McMillan restarted work on the abandoned Streets of Buckhead project in August 2012.
