Steve Palmer, founder of The Indigo Road Hospitality Group, will be transforming the historic H.M. Patterson Home and Gardens at Spring Quarter into a dining destination.

Details about the concept will be shared soon, but for now, we know the 24,000-square-foot space will be reimagined into a “a morning-to-night F&B destination.” The space encompasses a former mortuary building.

“When we first saw The Patterson, I knew it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to create something truly special in my hometown,” Palmer said in a press release about the announcement. “Midtown has become such a well-established dining destination that we are proud to join and our team looks forward to sharing more about the forthcoming concept soon.”

Based in South Carolina, The Indigo Road Hospitality Group is the team behind several concepts in metro Atlanta, including Sukoshi, Colletta, Oak Steakhouse, O-Ku and the recently opened Indaco.

It was recently announced that Sozou, a modern Japanese concept from Chef Fuyuhiko Ito, would also be opening at Spring Quarter next fall. The restaurant will be located on the ground floor of 1020 Spring Street, the development’s 525,000-square-foot office tower. The team will also debut Omakase by Ito on the 8th floor rooftop of 1020 Spring, where Chef Ito will create seasonal specialties for guests.

Spring Quarter is a mixed-use development in Midtown expected to be complete in Q3 of 2024. The 370-unit residential component, Sora at Spring Quarter, is now open to residents. Sora is the first residential project in Atlanta for Portman Holdings, the real estate development company behind the Spring Quarter project.
