Alex and Jennifer Aton next week will open Junior’s Pizza in the Summerhill neighborhood of Atlanta.

The delivery pop-up turned brick-and-mortar will start serving its New York-style pizza, at 77 Georgia Avenue, on Monday, August 5.

Junior’s Pizza offered free slices a week ago to test out its new ovens.

“Thank you to everyone who came out to make sure our ovens work,” the pizzeria posted to its Facebook page July 20.

“We’re pretty certain they do in fact work. Over 175 slices were given away in less than two hours…”

Junior’s Pizza has salads, calzones, and pizza by the slice and pie, and wine and beer.

“Since we started” as a pop-up in 2017, “Junior’s Pizza has focused on using high-quality ingredients and unique recipes to ensure that our pizza can burst with flavor even with minimal toppings,” according to the restaurant’s website.

“Junior’s Pizza interior reflects the personality of the owners while showcasing the work of great local artists. The casual feel of the restaurant enables everyone to feel welcome while the open kitchen allows guests to see how we make our pizza.”

Junior’s Pizza has seating inside and out and features murals (like the one pictured below) from the likes of Liberty Tattoo’s Stenvik Moström.

It will be open Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
