Sweet Octopus, the “fresh Asian flavor” eatery from Paul Yuwachit, (Thai and Sushi EAV, Donkey Mexican Bar and Grill) has soft-opened in Duluth’s Parsons Alley development, What Now Atlanta (WNA) confirmed via email.

Sweet Octopus offers several concepts under one umbrella, in a split-level floor plan.

A Thai-style street food restaurant anchors the ground-level and also offers poke bowls and burritos from Poke Burri and ramen from Lifting Noodles—concepts owned by Seven Chan and Ken Yu of the KSP Restaurant Group.

The second floor dishes empanadas sourced from Empanada House.

The empanada bar joins a cafe and lounge-style bubble tea bar–complete with “workstations” and snacks.

A full bar will serve sake, beer, wine, and an “alcohol-infused boba” once a liquor license is greenlit.

“I wanted to open this concept in a community where I could make an impact and bring two worlds together,” Yuwachit in a telephone interview previously told WNA.

“I have that vision in Duluth, to represent our Asian culture here.”

Chan and Yu also have eateries slated to open in the forthcoming Ph’east food hall at The Battery Atlanta and The Collective at the Coda in Tech Square.
