The taco joint is in the permitting process with City of Atlanta.
Berkeley Park will soon be home to Taco 404.
The restaurant concept, a joint venture between Jason Sherman, a Miami-based restauranteur and Executive Chef Sabi Benardete, will open at 1523 Howell Mill Road NW.
“[Taco 404] is our take on a busy food corner in Mexico City,” Sherman in an email told What Now Atlanta (WNA) Wednesday.
“Fresh traditional specialties made in our open kitchen, great tacos with daily specials, terrific cocktails and the coldest beer in town served at our comfortable bar and outside on the patio.”
Taco 404’s future home is a brick building with three garage-style doors currently being used as a storage facility for Turnage Place, Lorri Leonaitis, the property owner in a telephone interview Friday told WNA.
Leonaitis late last week filed a permit application with City of Atlanta to convert the 2,636-square-foot business space into the taco joint.
An estimated $150,000 could be spent renovating the interior and exterior of the property, according to the permit filing.
Sherman in the past has owned and operated several Atlanta-area concepts including Cold Life Organics and Elephant Grocers.
Taco 404, expected to debut in November, will serve lunch and dinner.
