Tropical Smoothie Cafe is adding another location to the Atlanta market, with plans to bring the franchise to 3655 Roswell Rd, Suite 222, according to a recent permit. Multi-unit franchise operator Mit Patel is behind the new location. He told What Now Atlanta that this will be his sixth spot with the brand and that he is looking forward to strengthening Tropical Smoothie Cafe’s presence in the market where it is headquartered.
The building permit filed earlier this month calls for interior renovations to prepare the 1,320-square-foot space for opening. Plans call for a walk-up order counter and a sit-down counter with stools.
Tropical Smoothie Cafe offers smoothies, bowls, wraps, salads, flatbreads and breakfast items. Smoothie options include veggie-based smoothies, fruit-focused smoothies and supplement-based products. There are currently 45 locations in the Greater Atlanta area listed on the franchise’s website.
The fast-casual brand was founded in 1997 on a beach in Florida. Now, it has expanded across the country, surpassing 1,500 locations last year across 44 states.
As of now, an opening timeline for the new location is still forthcoming.
