The East Atlanta Village (EAV) bookstore is hosting a closing sale in its final chapter.

Bound To Be Read Books in EAV announced in an email to patrons late Thursday night the bookstore will soon shutter, and that a store closing sale is underway.

Owner Jeff McCord cited the reasons for closing as a desire to spend more time with family and friends, and thanked his loyal customers for ten great years.

McCord tried to sell the bookstore late 2013 with no luck.

In appreciation, the store is giving away free prizes during the store closing sale, including a custom-built “Little Free Library,” a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, a Keurig coffee maker, and more.

The actual closing date will be “when everything is sold,” which includes fixtures and all inventory. Bound To Be Read will host a final customer appreciation party and community pot luck on May 2.
