A new boutique barre studio coming to Atlanta aims to create a chic wellness experience and inclusive environment for getting your sweat on.

TriBarre will offer a variety of classes. The concept is centered on barre, a low-impact, high-intensity workout that combines elements of ballet, pilates, yoga and strength training.

The studio comes from sisters Katelyn Honore, Kennedy Honore and Whitney Omidele. The idea for TriBarre came out of their passion for this particular type of workout, but not having a place they enjoyed going to.

“We found a passion for barre and working out,” Katelyn said. “My sisters and I didn’t have any workouts we looked forward to and enjoyed. We started loving barre, then realized there wasn’t really a barre studio that was our vibe in the area. We decided to fill that gap in the market.”

The signature class at TriBarre, Femme Signature Barre, will be a dynamic full-body workout intended to sculpt and tone. There will also be a heated Femme Sculpt class that fuses yoga with strength training, as well as a Femme Power Flow featuring yoga, strength training and meditation. All classes will have a focus on breath work.

They wanted to create an upbeat and fun atmosphere for fitness that’s also relaxing and chic – like the experience of going on a getaway or to a hotel.

Kennedy describes the vision for TriBarre: “A more feminine, soft workout space that’s also aesthetically pleasing, like a boutique hotel, where you can say, ‘I get my one-hour escape from the world.'”

The sisters, who are originally from Louisiana, didn’t set out to be entrepreneurs. Katelyn and Whitney work in speech therapy, and Kennedy is a social worker.

In taking a hands-on approach to their business, they have learned about the ins and outs that go into bringing a vision to life.

“It showed me the amount of attention to detail that business owners have to curate a nice wellness space,” Kennedy said. “The fragrance, the wallpaper, the small details you wouldn’t even think to focus on in the class, it all makes that wellness environment that you want to come back to. The little details make such a difference.”

With a variety of classes, TriBarre will be able to serve a wide range of fitness levels and needs. For example, a guest could sweat it out during the Femme Signature Barre class one day, then refresh and unwind with a yoga-driven class the next.

Overall, they want to create a boutique atmosphere that feels personalized and inclusive.

“We wanted our studios to be more of that community vibe where you can talk to the people instructing you, you can get to know the people taking the classes with you, and build that wellness community in the Buckhead area and in Georgia,” Kennedy said.

The budding entrepreneurs are excited to bring an inclusive yet luxe wellness experience to Atlanta. TriBarre is slated to open in April 2025.
