A new family-owned laundromat coming to southwest Atlanta seeks to bring residents a new option for getting their clothes sparkling clean.

Davis Bros. Laundromat is in the works at 2292 Fairburn Road SW and is expected to open this summer.

Owner Tariq Davis has always wanted to open such a business. He grew up in New York, frequently going to laundromats.

“I’ve always wanted to do a laundromat,” he said. “I had a fear of opening a laundromat and knowing how much capital it took, it’s very capital-intensive. My wife and I went ahead and jumped in with both feet.”

A family-owned operation, the name of the business is a reference to their three sons. They are currently working on the buildout of the space, which will include different sizes of state-of-the-art washers and dryers.

“It’s come a long way, it’s a work in progress,” he said. “We wanted to give people in that area more of an option when it comes to washing clothes.”

They are invested in the area and hope to further help the community by launching a nonprofit, the Davis Bros. Foundation. They are passionate about education and helping the parents of Atlanta.

Davis Bros. Laundromat will hold a soft opening prior to the grand opening this summer. Follow along on Instagram @davisbroslaundromat.
