Bike retailer to ride again after shop was destroyed by fire.

Peachtree Bikes is making a triumphant return to Buckhead.

After closing as the result of a fire December 4, 2013, the bike shop will reopen on March 1, 2014, Linda Biskup, store manager of the bike retailer’s Sandy Springs location told What Now Atlanta Wednesday.

The new Buckhead location, at 2905 Peachtree Road, will be reminiscent of Peachtree Bike’s location that burned down at 2823 Peachtree Road, according to Biskup.

“It should be cool,” Biskup said.

“There will be lots of rooms and a fireplace with couches to watch the tour. We wish it would [open] faster, but with the holidays its been tough.”

Peachtree Bikes’ new location was formerly occupied by a floral shop.

The bike shop, founded in Atlanta in the 1960s, has locations in Sandy Springs and Serenbe.
