The Buckhead cycling shop is being replaced by Grand China Restaurant.

Peachtree Bikes in Buckhead is on the move for the second time in less than two years.

The retailer of bikes and other cycling gear was forced to relocate its original store, at 2837 Peachtree Road NE, down the street to 2905 Peachtree Road, when a fire December 4, 2013 destroyed Peachtree Bikes.

Now, its home of less than two years (Peachtree Bikes reopened March 24, 2014), is slated to be replaced by the nearby Grand China Restaurant, a Buckhead mainstay since 1978.

K.C. and Tse-Chih Chang, the husband and wife team behind the Asian bistro of 37 years, own the building where Peachtree Bikes is currently situated.

What Now Atlanta (WNA) broke the news Wednesday of Grand China’s relocation. At the time, Peachtree Bikes’ fate was unclear.

Peachtree Bikes will relocate to space “next to Buckhead Theatre” and should open mid-July, Mike Wagaman, owner of the cycling shop, told WNA in an email Thursday.

No word on what will replace Grand China.
