Peridot, a 30-year-old home furnishings and gift retailer, is closing its Westside doors for good this week.

The boutique’s last day, at 1183 Howell Mill Road, will be Wednesday, June 17, the company this week announced on its Instagram.

The store was originally going to close down May 1 but an extension was provided on the lease.

Peridot is hosting a going-out-of-business sale now through Wednesday.

As of Sunday, everything in the store was an extra 10 percent off including furniture, lamps, linens, chairs, coffee tables, antiques, and more.

Peridot at one point had a Buckhead storefront, at 3193 Roswell Road, which closed down in mid-2018.

It’s unclear why the retailer is shutting down after decades of service but it could be related to the novel coronavirus outbreak which has been cited as the cause for a growing list of recent closings.

Owner Dina Woodruff on Monday did not immediately respond to What Now Atlanta’s request for comment.
