MERGE Home is now open on the Westside, at 1400 Howell Mill Road. The furniture and interior design destination is from industry leader Marty Mason, the entrepreneur and interior design expert behind high-end consignment shop Savvy Snoot.
“By updating the most-beloved elements of his former Savvy Snoot and Collected Home stores with current trends and forward-looking designs, MERGE Home is the evolution of Marty’s long-held belief in mixing styles to create one-of-a-kind spaces for each client — which we call the merged look,” Jaci Lund of Treebird Branding, the firm that designed the MERGE Home branding, told What Now Atlanta in an email Thursday.
The custom-built, three-story showroom in West Midtown houses an eclectic mix of furniture and décor (and yes, carries Mason’s Savvy Snoot candles which are made by daughter Mia Mason). There is an on-site design team that will host live design sessions for its customers, at the end of which “you’ll have a whole room — or house — put together right in our store.”
Building MERGE Home from the ground up has been several years in the making. Construction commenced in 2019, according to permits filed with the City of Atlanta. An opening was originally planned for January 2020, Mason told What Now Atlanta at the time.
Mason acquired the property in April 2018 for $950,000 under the company 1400 Howell Mill, LLC, according to property records. MERGE had its soft opening in early-February, Lund said.
