A new restaurant from an experienced chef will have a retail component.

According to a recent liquor license application, Avize in West Midtown will include a specialty wine shop.

What Now Atlanta shared news of the upcoming fine-dining restaurant earlier this month. The new concept from Chef Karl Gorline will feature contemporary cuisine inspired by the Alpine region with ingredients from a local farm.

The restaurant is planned for the Stockyards mixed-use development at 956 Brady Avenue.

Avize’s specialty wine shop will be open 4 to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, according to the liquor license application.

Avize is expected to open later this summer.
