Baked goods retailer opening first Atlanta location in Buckhead.
Sprinkles Cupcakes will open its first Atlanta location at Lenox Square Mall on January 24, What Now Atlanta confirmed with the baked goods retailer Friday.
“I am thrilled to head down to Atlanta for our premiere southeastern location,” Candace Nelson, founder of Sprinkles Cupcakes and judge on Food Network’s Cupcake Wars, said in a press release.
“Our most popular cupcake flavor, Red Velvet, was inspired by my husband’s Southern roots. I can’t wait to pair it with hearty Southern food and try my hands at whipping up a Georgia peach flavored cupcake!”
Sprinkles Cupcakes are handcrafted and are available in more than 50 different flavors, including banana, chai latte, dark chocolate, strawberry and red velvet.
The baked goods retailer has expanded its offerings to include ice cream, non-dairy sorbets, shakes, malts and root beer floats.
In 2012, Sprinkles debuted the world’s first “Cupcake ATM.” Sprinkles Atlanta will be the fourth city to receive this machine which dispenses cupcakes 24 hours a day and can hold up to 600 cupcakes at a time.
