A new Take 5 oil change location is on the way to Dunwoody, according to recent City of Dunwoody Planning Commission documents. The spot is expected to go in at 4515 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, replacing an abandoned building at the address.
The location would be a one-story, 1,330-square-foot brick building with two drive-thru lanes. Plans call for four stacking spaces in each lane.
Toxaway Automotive Group is the franchisee behind the Dunwoody location. The group acquires, owns and operates Take 5 oil change locations across the eastern Greater Atlanta area, according to the group’s website.
The same franchise group also has a location on the way to Milledgeville, as reported by What Now Atlanta earlier this year.
Founded in 1984 as Rapid Oil Change in Louisiana, Take 5 advertises a quick 10-minute stay-in-your-car oil change service, as well as other services like windshield wiper replacement, car engine air filter replacement, and coolant and anti-freeze exchange. The oil change franchise now has hundreds of locations across the United States.
As of now, an exact opening timeline for the Dunwoody spot remains unclear. However, construction is still to come, according to documents.
