Westside Bikes, a full-service retail bike store and repair shop, is opening in West Midtown.

“Our 2,500-square-foot space is sharp and smart on design,” Bill Davis, Westside’s general manager, told What Now Atlanta in a telephone interview Tuesday.

“Our selection of bikes is highly curated. Not overcrowded and packed.”

The cycling retailer will take space at The Brickworks in the Midtown West development, at 1000 Marietta Street.

Westside Bikes is going to focus on “pavement” while offering a selection of mountain, according to Davis who has worked for Atlanta Cycling.

“We’re going to appeal to the commuter crowd and campus kids. How we interact with our customer base is going to set us apart from the competition.”

Owner Matt Lyngarkos is looking to open Westside Bikes April 1.
