Brothers chef Bruce and Scott Bogartz have permanently shuttered their less than two-year-old Bogartz Food Artz meat and three eatery in Sandy Springs, according to an email to patrons Thursday. It replaced Tin Can Fish House.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the Bogartz Food Artz has ceased operations effective immediately,” according to the email. “We have enjoyed being part of the Sandy Springs community over these past years, and we appreciate the support and friendship you have provided.”
The City Walk center restaurant first debuted in November 2018 and has since been listed for sale with the Shumacher Group for $99,000. A buyer could keep the Bogartz Food Artz concept alive as part of the purchase, the brothers said in the email.
“If we find a purchaser who is interested in buying and continuing to operate the actual concept, we will work actively towards the goal of sustaining the great food, drinks, and customer service which have been our pleasure to offer you,” according to the email. “If the new owners choose to pursue a new concept, we are confident you will show them the same warm welcome you have shown us.”
