After 10 years of expansion throughout Atlanta, Sugarcoat will open a seventh salon at The Forum outdoor shopping center in Peachtree Corners in Spring of 2021, offering manicures, pedicures, lash extensions, facials and waxing.

“We are taking a leap of faith to open a new location in the middle of the pandemic in 2021,” wrote owner Peiru Kim on the salon’s Facebook page. “We are hopeful and believe that 2021 will be sweeter and better, as we stand strong and work hard to continue to provide the best place for our community to relax, refresh and recharge.”

Kim prides herself on the advanced air filtration system that includes additional vents at each nail station, reducing strong acrylic smells. Pumice stones, files and buffers are always replaced after each client, Kim told What Now Atlanta, and additional measures have been enacted at each Sugarcoat location to go above and beyond CDC guidelines for COVID-19 — their new location at The Forum’s Suite 451 will be no exception.

This will be Sugarcoat’s first location north of Highway 285, Kim said.
