The Pecan Street Festival is a long-running arts, crafts, and music event that is celebrating its 51st edition. It is connected to Austin’s historic Sixth Street district, which was once called Pecan Street. It is held twice a year, usually in the spring and fall.

It is organized by the Pecan Street Association, a nonprofit group. The organization uses festival proceeds to help preserve the history and character of Sixth Street. This year, the festival is presented by Thomas J. Henry.

For many years, the festival took place along Sixth Street in downtown Austin. The event later moved to Hill Country Galleria in Bee Cave to accommodate larger crowds and improve accessibility. This marks the event’s second year at the Hill Country Galleria location.
