According to recent public records, Gen Korean BBQ House will soon build up an Austin location at 6406 N. Interstate 35 Frontage Rd.

Estimated at around $2,400,000 and an impressive 8,356 square feet, the project will concern “Interior tenant improvement of existing single-story space to a restaurant. Exterior work is limited to storefront modification. New signage under separate permit. Scope of work includes new non-bearing partition walls, ceiling, lighting, finishes” and reach completion in mid-July, per estimates.

When the restaurant makes its Austin debut, customers can expect an extensive menu featuring plenty of chicken, beef, and pork options, as well as traditional ban-chan, including Kimchi, Saeng Chae, and more. Everything is cooked at your table with the freshest ingredients. If you’ve never had Korean BBQ before, expect a wide array of complex flavors that will truly give your palate a new perception of taste.

Gen Korean BBQ was founded in 2011 and has expanded to over 30 locations in five states. The majority of its locations are in California, but the restaurant has sites in New York, Texas, Hawaii, Arizona, and Nevada, as well as the Philippines. Gen Korean BBQ is also working on a new Arizona location in Chandler. The locations in California and Arizona offer an extensive rewards program that results in gifts and cash rewards that can be used at the restaurant.
