Happy Lamb Hot Pot, the growing hot pot chain, will soon begin construction on an Austin site, according to recent public records. The restaurant will be located at 13343 N. Highway 183, within suite 290, near The Melting Pot and Jardin Corona.

“We have five locations in Texas,” Development Manager Alex Lam tells What Now Austin. “We’ll open this one probably at the end of 2023, or in early 2024.”

Beyond this information, Mr. Lam did not provide much more. While also sparse in detail, the public records exmained by What Now Austin show that the restaurant will cost around $500,000 to build out and cover around 5,371 square feet of space.

Like many other classic hot pot establishments, readers can reasonably expect a highly social dining experience, cooking one’s own variety of raw meat and vegetables at the table.
