J. Alexander’s is making a move on the Greater Austin area market with plans to open its first location in the region in Cedar Park. Community Impact reports that the American cuisine and craft beers eatery will open in Fall 2026. This recently filed state permit shows that J. Alexanders will open at 750 E. New Hope Drive.

Confirming CI’s article, the permit details that construction on the Cedar Park J. Alexander’s will begin at the end of March next year and is slated to be completed by the end of November 2026. If all goes well, J. Alexander’s should be open by December 2026.

There are currently three J. Alexander’s locations in Texas, with plans to open two more sites in 2026, one in Plano and another in Prosper. All a part of the SPB Hospitality group, J. Alexander’s is currently in 16 states with 47 locations. SPB also runs Logan’s Roadhouse and Leo’s Italian Kitchen, to name a few.

J. Alexander’s is known for an unforgettable dining experience, as the website shares. Offering a wide variety of salads, burgers, seafood, sandwiches, steaks, and tacos, the eatery has a little bit of something for everyone. Beyond the food, J. Alexander’s also specializes in handcrafted beer and cocktails.

“Whether you visit us for lunch, dinner, or a drink with friends, we want your time at J. Alexander’s to be memorable. From the moment you walk in our doors, our friendly staff will be attentive to your every need. At the same time, our chefs are hard at work every day to deliver consistent, quality food that is sure to delight even the most refined palate,” the website reads.

The new J. Alexander’s is on its way to coming to the Greater Austin food scene for the first time and is expected to open at 750 E. New Hope Drive in December 2026.
