Hai Hospitality’s popular concept Loro Asian Smokehouse will soon begin building out a Domain location, according to recent public records.

“We’re trying to open it in around a year,” Hai Hospitality’s Director of Development Todd Reppert tells What Now Austin. “We’ll probably start construction next spring.”

What changes can readers reasonably expect at this new location?

“The menu will be slightly different only because we won’t have the same smoker capacity, given the smaller space. But rest assured, people who know the original location’s menu will recognize essentially everything on it.”

Why did the brand choose to open a Domain spot?

“The Domain is like a second downtown in Austin. High-street shopping, luxury brands, rapidly increasing density. It’s an area with a strong work-live-play ethos, a younger demographic that makes up our core customer base.”

Until the new Loro Asian opens its doors, readers can find the original at 2115 S Lamar Blvd.
