According to recent public records, an upcoming restaurant named “Tancho” is slated for construction at 7415 Southwest Parkway in Austin, within Lantana Place.

The records detail that work will consist of “a 2000 sf restaurant finish out” costing an estimated $500,000. Work is estimated to begin in March and wrap up by August.

What Now Austin briefly reached a partner and representative for the project who could not confirm a definite status for the project or further details about the restaurant.

It is not immediately clear whether the restaurant has any connection the Bay Area’s own Tancho restaurant, an omakase establishment.

No opening date has been set.
