According to a recent report in Eater, El Pasoan-Jewish restaurant JewBoy Burgers is undergoing major changes this year.

“First, a location of its offshoot JewBoy Sliders will be closing in downtown Austin within the food hall Fareground at the end of March. And then, secondly, owner Mo Pittle is opening a brand-new restaurant, JewBoy Cantina, within West Campus dive bar and music venue Hole in the Wall in the spring,” the report states.

“And then, Pittle is opening JewBoy Cantina at the Hole in the Wall at 2538 Guadalupe Street in early April. The restaurant will serve burritos (which JewBoy Burgers does too), flautas, nachos, and small tacos.”

Eater adds that JewBoy Cantina’s burritos are made with homemade tortillas and place “a greater focus on sauces and salsas,” citing El Paso burrito inspirations such as “Mexican restaurant Lucy’s machaca, Rafa’s chile verde, and Cazares’s picadillo.”
