Doris Metropolitan, a high-end dining brand belonging to Sof Hospitality, is on its way to downtown Austin, according to recent reporting in The Orlando Business Journal. The restaurant will be located within a brand new building at 1111 W. Sixth St, near Clark’s Oyster Bar and Swedish Hill.

Co-founded by Sof Hospitality owners Itai Ben Eli (CEO) and Itamar Levy (CFO), Doris Metropolitan was “inspired by our owners’ butcher shop in Israel, named Doris, and their admiration for unprecedented fine dining,” according to the company website.

“After a vacation turned into a love affair with Costa Rica in 2010, they incorporated the city’s vibrant metropolitan way of life and born was Doris Metropolitan.”

Readers can expect a range of unique Israeli-inspired appetizers like Jerusalem Salad, octopus with tzatziki, and tuna tartare. Main offerings include fine cuts of steak such Bone in Ribeye, Bone-in NY Strip, lamb chops, and moroccan fish.
