Tipsy Gator, a Killeen-based daiquiris to-go concept, is soon coming to the Wells Branch area of north Austin at 14900 N. IH-35, within suite 102.
“We’re headed to Austin with our second store under this brand,” owner Tim Hobbs tells What Now Austin. “We’ll have a drive-thru at this location and serve premium and house daiquiris.”
When asked about the difference, Mr. Hobbs points to price and ingredients.
“Our premium drinks are made with higher-end ingredients such as real fruit and cane sugar, and the house daiquiris will be our classic drink, served at a lower price.”
Mr. Hobbs is eager to add that the store will be offering delivery through partners such as Doordash and Favor.
When asked about his rationale for the north Austin location, Mr. Hobbs points to specs and accessibility, “Drive-thrus are hard to come by. It’s a unicorn location, right off I-35 which grants commuters easy access.”
And what does the future hold for the budding young brand?
“Expansion is our goal. Hopefully we can get a bigger footprint in Austin and the surrounding area.”
Hobbs anticipates the store will be up and running in early 2024.
