AutoZone is planning a store at 6902 Camino Real in Maxwell, according to a project filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
The company is proposing a new 7,200-square-foot building at the property. The filing estimates the project cost at $884,877. Although an opening date has not been announced, construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in April 2027 and conclude in September 2027.
AutoZone carries replacement parts and maintenance supplies for cars, SUVs, vans, and light-duty trucks. Products include batteries, brakes, filters, spark plugs, engine oil, wiper blades, vehicle lighting, tools, and accessories.
Some AutoZone stores also offer battery testing and installation, check-engine-light diagnostics, tool loans, and automotive-product recycling.
AutoZone opened its first store as Auto Shack in Forrest City, Arkansas, in 1979. The retailer has since grown to more than 8,000 stores across the United States, Mexico, and Brazil.
