HEB, the popular statewide grocery store, will soon begin an incredibly significant renovation of its Kyle store at 5401 S FM 1626, according to recent public records.
Costing an impressive $28,000,000, public records examined by What Now Austin merely describe an “expansion” to 32,952 ft 2. Given the size and scope of the project, it is not anticipated to wrap up until late 2025.
The renovation comes on the heels of recent plans for a massive Pflugerville HEB which will include “a True Texas BBQ restaurant, full-service Pharmacy with two-lane drive-thru, Curbside and Home Delivery services with dedicated parking for Curbside customers, as well as a new fuel station and car wash,” per a company press release.
While no details have yet been released on the restaurant/food service elements of the Kyle store, it is reasonable to assume HEB will be bringing one of its signature dining brands—South Flo Pizza, Flaming Bird, True Texas Boil House, True Texas Tacos, and True Texas BBQ—to the renovated Kyle store.
