Louis Corner’s Opening at South End
MAZÍ Food Group will unveil Louis (pronounced Lou-ee) Corner, the newest concept in its growing lineup of restaurants. Located at the corner of Tremont and Waltham streets, Louis Corner blends sophistication with timeless gastropub charm. The design encourages conversation and a relaxed, social vibe.
Executive chef Jesus Preciado is at the helm of MAZÍ Food Group. He has developed a menu that stays true to American roots with a subtle touch of Irish flavors. Louis Corner offers 48 seats spread across bar spaces, cozy banquettes, and mid-top tables paired with bronze-clad chairs.
Design Ambience
Louis Corner’s welcoming interior thoughtfully blends comfort and style. Floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides flood the space with natural light. Set against a backdrop of exposed brick along the rear wall, the atmosphere is complemented by rich golden tones and plush textures.
The bar features a striking black marble bar with gold flecks. The backlit bar showcases three gold-leaf arched panels as a dramatic centerpiece. Above, chandeliers made of brass and rectangular pearlescent glass panels offer a warm glow.
Bar stools upholstered in dark blue leather sit atop an intricate mosaic tile floor. The backs of these seats are wrapped in a vibrant mix of turquoise and gold velvet. The dining room floor is covered in distressed oak planks, perfectly contrasting with the surrounding plush fabrics.
Signature Dishes and Bar Experience
The dinner menu at Louis Corner offers regional favorites from the Northeast to the South. From a smashburger to jambalaya, the offerings include many standout dishes. At lunch, guests can expect sandwich classics, including lobster rolls, roast beef, and Cubanos.
Cordials, beer, and wine will be a part of the beverage program at Louis Corner alongside classic American cocktails. The wine list highlights American vintners, with selections from both domestic and international producers. The beer menu focuses on craft and local options, available in cans and bottles.
Louis Corner is located at 552 Tremont Street in the heart of Boston’s South End. Weekday hours at the restaurant will start at 11:00 am. Brunch will be available from 9:00 am on Saturdays and Sundays.
