Bennett’s Sandwich Shop is bringing its legendary subs to Downtown Boston.

The Kennebunk, Maine-based eatery will open its sixth shop in the former Grainmaker space at 91 Summer St in Downtown Crossing, reports Boston Restaurant Talk. A recent Facebook post from the business confirms the expansion and notes that hiring is already underway.

Founded in 1982 by the late Charlie Bennett, Bennett’s Sandwich Shop has gained a devoted following for its hearty hot and cold subs, eggy breakfast sandwiches, cheesy melts, and generously packed lobster rolls.

Since taking over in 2014, husband-and-wife duo Brendin and Maggie McCord have steadily expanded the business beyond Maine, opening two locations in Portsmouth and Salem, New Hampshire, as well as two in the Boston area—near Fenway Park and in Burlington.

Although Brendin briefly confirmed the news with What Now Boston, he did not provide an opening timeline.
