A longstanding Cajun-inspired eatery in the Natick Mall has closed its doors to make way for a new restaurant.

Chef Kiat Cormier of the ChewOnThis Facebook group recently reported that Cajun Cafe served its last meal on December 31, 2024. The post sparked an outpouring of reactions from regular patrons fondly remembering Cajun Cafe’s beloved bourbon and orange chicken.

In its place at 1245 Worcester St, a new restaurant called Bourbon Street Grill will open. Though the menu is still being finalized, a managing partner for the eatery told What Now Boston that patrons can look forward to a variety of dishes inspired by Cajun and Creole cooking.

Notably, the same team behind Bourbon Street Grill is also responsible for Ruby Thai Kitchen, which is located in the same food court at Natick Mall.

Ownership told What Now Boston that Bourbon Street Grill is expected to open in April 2025, pending permits and renovations.
