At the start of 2024, Darryl’s Corner Bar & Kitchen closed its doors to undergo a major rebranding. Now, glimpses of the transformation are beginning to emerge.

The longstanding restaurant and live music venue at 604 Columbus Ave is being reimagined as Uptown Social, a new concept that promises to bring “Southern hospitality to Boston’s South End.”

Although owner Nia Grace did not respond to inquiries from What Now Boston, she previously told Eater Boston that the revamped concept would retain Darryl’s focus on Southern cuisine. However, she plans to pivot toward small, shareable plates and an updated cocktail program.

An official opening date has not yet been announced, but Uptown Social’s Instagram hints that it is “coming soon,” featuring glimpses of elevated branding.
