A popular Jamaican restaurant and food truck is expanding to downtown Boston.

Jamaica Mi Hungry will open its second brick-and-mortar eatery at 289 Devonshire St, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. The business’s Instagram page and website confirm this news.

Founded in 2012 as a private chef service by Chef Ernie Campbell, Jamaica Mi Hungry has since grown into a full-service catering, food truck, and restaurant operation.

The original location, which opened in Jamaica Plain in 2019, serves authentic Jamaican dishes like jerk chicken, curry goat, oxtail, and curry vegetable stew.

Chef Campbell could not be reached for comment, and a grand opening date has not yet been announced.
