A Cambridge restaurant and bar that has been closed for several months is set to reopen soon at 1124 Cambridge St. Midwest Grill & Bar recently announced that a grand reopening is on the horizon.

Owner Joao Pinto was not immediately available for comment, leading to some uncertainty about the details of this reopening. However, an employee of the establishment told What Now Boston that they are hoping to welcome guests in the coming weeks.

This news comes after the eatery’s September 2023 announcement that they would be undergoing a rebranding, transforming into JP Restaurant. Although the restaurant’s Facebook page shows evidence of the rebranding, such as a photo featuring the new signage “JP Restaurant & Bar,” it seems they have reverted back to a variation of their original name, which was Midwest Grill Fusion.

The revamped restaurant will offer a menu featuring Brazilian and Portuguese cuisine, with a lunch buffet and à la carte options for dinner. Additionally, a full bar will be available for patrons to enjoy. To celebrate the grand opening, guests will be treated to a complimentary dessert or drink with their purchase.

Stay tuned for further updates as we hope to clarify any lingering confusion about this exciting reopening.
