A New York City sports bar is expanding to Boston.
According to a post from @foodiehermanas on Instagram, Rocco’s Sports & Recreation will open its second location in the Seaport District, although the exact address has not yet been revealed. This expansion is confirmed by a page on the city’s website, which notes that the venue plans to stay open until 2 a.m.
The Rocco’s concept is part of The Garret Group, the hospitality company behind Borrachito Taqueria & Spirits on Pier 4 Blvd.
Rocco’s describes itself as “an elevated celebration of sporting culture,” that “turns the run-of-the-mill ‘sports bar’ concept on its head.” The venue boasts “cheeky, vintage-inspired decor and clever takes on nostalgic game day eats and drinks.”
The menu offers classic bar fare such as chicken tenders, wings, salads, and snacks, along with vegan and vegetarian options.
While an official opening date is yet to be announced, Rocco’s Sports & Recreation is expected to open in the first quarter of 2025. Stay tuned for updates.
