Not Your Average Joe’s has closed its Burlington location, but a new spot may be in the works.

While the neighborhood dining chain shuttered its 4C Wayside Rd doors on December 23, 2024, a supervisor for the eatery recently revealed that an undisclosed Bedford location could be coming soon.

In a post on the Friends of Boston’s Hidden Restaurants Facebook group, she commented, “…We are 85% certain we will be moving to another location. The goal is Bedford. I’m proud of how we rebuilt this place after Covid but the facilities has been a struggle.”

What Now Boston reached out to Not Your Average Joe’s CEO Joe McGuire, who confirmed the news. While the deal isn’t finalized, McGuire said in an email, “…we are working on it – will likely be the end of January before all of the negotiations are done…”

Known for its scratch-made dishes, Not Your Average Joe’s serves comfort foods such as pasta, pizza, salads, and sandwiches. The brand launched in Dartmouth, MA in 1994 and has since expanded to 14 locations across Massachusetts, Maryland, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Virginia.

Stay tuned—What Now Boston will provide updates once the Bedford location has been officially confirmed.
