About the American Chinese Dining Brand
Panda Express was established by Andrew and Peggy Cherng in California in 1983. It stands as the largest American Chinese fast-casual restaurant chain in the U.S. The company has multiple locations across the country, including stand-alone restaurants and mall food courts.
One of its signature dishes is Orange Chicken, popular across the country. Chef Andy Kao developed the Original Orange Chicken in 1987. It is a crispy chicken wok-tossed in a sweet and spicy orange sauce.
The menu features Beijing Beef, Kung Pao Chicken, Honey Walnut Shrimp, and Black Pepper Chicken. Guests can also enjoy side dishes including Chow Mein, Fried Rice, and Super Greens.
Beyond expansion efforts, Panda Express also supports local organizations through community programs and partnerships.
The Dorchester opening signals Panda Express’ renewed expansion efforts in the Boston area. The restaurant is expected to attract strong customer traffic in the South Bay area.
