A Brazilian-influenced burger joint that debuted in Lowell in early 2025 is already expanding to Burlington.

According to city permits and a recent report from Boston Restaurant Talk, Sergeant Burgers is opening a second location at 75 Middlesex Turnpike, taking over the former Appleseed Crepe & Bread space in the Burlington Mall food court.

While owner Benedito Alcantara and the Sergeant Burgers team could not be reached for comment, a menu submitted to the city confirms that the new location will serve Sergeant Burgers’ signature offerings.

Expect a lineup of classic beef, bacon, turkey, veggie, and chicken burgers, alongside elevated ‘prime’ burgers, decadent milkshakes, Italian sodas, and appetizers like cheddar bacon fries and onion rings—all infused with Brazilian flavors.

Based on state business filings, it looks like Alcantara is also behind Milkshake Lovers, a chain specializing in milkshakes and açaí. The eatery operates locations in the Burlington, Natick, and Cape Cod malls, as well as two sites in Salem and Nashua, New Hampshire.

A Boston Real Estate Times article reveals that Sergeant Burgers is slated to bring its bold bites to Burlington this summer.
