A small group of Texas-born comfort food restaurants has set its sights on Boston.

According to Boston Restaurant Talk, Kitchen + Kocktails by Kevin Kelley has applied for a Common Victualler license at 100 Arlington St in the Back Bay, in the space formerly occupied by Nusr-et Steakhouse.

Kelley launched the original Kitchen + Kocktails in Dallas in 2020, offering elevated takes on classic comfort dishes like fried green tomatoes, seafood gumbo, chicken and waffles, and shrimp and grits.

The concept quickly gained popularity, leading to additional locations in Chicago, Washington, D.C., Charlotte, and Atlanta.

The menu at Kitchen + Kocktails features southern-style lunch, brunch, and dinner, along with indulgent desserts like banana pudding and peach cobbler, vegan and vegetarian options, and a wide selection of creative cocktails.

Kelley was unavailable for comment at the time of publication. Stay tuned for updates as more details emerge.
