The restauranteurs behind two Thai spots in Malden are planning another nearby eatery.

Nisachon Thanangthirapong of Crying Thaiger and Thaiger Den told What Now Boston that a new izakaya focusing on Thai and Japanese fare will soon open in Malden.

Thanangthirapong and her husband, Usanus Siritararatn, are in the process of finalizing the deal with the seller, so no further details can be provided at this time.

However, based on the description Thanangthirapong gave of the eatery, guests can expect a fusion of Thai and Japanese fare in an izakaya, or a type of Japanese bar where a variety of small, typically inexpensive dishes are served alongside alcoholic beverages.

Stay tuned for further details, as Thanangthirapong will share more information once the sale is finalized.
