Van Leeuwen Ice Cream has been rapidly expanding across the Greater Boston area and shows no signs of slowing down.

According to the chain’s website, a new location is set to open at 86 Van Ness St in the Fenway. Once it launches, the spot will join existing Van Leeuwen shops in Boston’s Seaport, The Street at Chestnut Hill, and Cambridge’s Harvard Square. Additional locations are also planned for the Seaport, Wellesley, and Boston’s Back Bay.

What began as a New York City ice cream truck has grown into a nationwide sensation, thanks to founders Pete Van Leeuwen, his brother Ben, and their partner Laura O’Neill. Known for its premium flavors like Brown Sugar Chunk and Vegan Strawberry Shortcake, the brand now operates more than 50 shops across the U.S.

What Now Boston has reached out to Van Leeuwen representatives for details on the Fenway shop and will update this page as more information becomes available.
