Ben & Jerry’s is moving to Mount Pleasant’s Oyster Park at 1440 Ben Sawyer Blvd. The ice cream parlor, helmed by franchise owner Andrew Lee, is slated to open sometime this spring.

“The new store will complement the company’s existing location at Freshfields Village on Kiawah Island,” Lee told Live 5 News. The Kiawah Island location, which Lee also owns, opened in 2013.

Despite closing his stores on Isle of Palms and Charleston in 2022, the Post and Courier previously reported, “He continues to be bullish on the Charleston market and eventually wants to reopen on the peninsula and have other shops in Mount Pleasant, Sullivan’s Island and Folly Beach.”

It looks like Mount Pleasant is happening, maybe we can expect more locations from Lee in the future?

“It’s an honor to continue serving our community through the joyous experience of Ben & Jerry’s. We look forward to creating memorable moments for both locals and visitors alike,” Lee said to Live 5.

Lee could not be immediately reached for comment.
