Blend Juice Bar is opening a second location in Downtown Charleston on Meeting Street, according to owner Jesse Derbyshire. The health-focused juice shop has been operating its original store at The Shops at Mount Pleasant since 2014.
Blend serves a wide array of cold-pressed juices and smoothies that each aim to provide customers with nutrients and antioxidants. The shop also sells “Energy Bites” made with natural ingredients like goji berries, oats, honey, coconut oil, flaxseed and nut butters.
The idea to start Blend came to Derbyshire after doing an intense detox many years ago and realizing the benefits of juicing. “Before Blend, there weren’t any juices that were both healthy AND delicious in the Charleston market. I recognized an opportunity to bring the ‘healthy goodness’ to Charleston,” Derbyshire says on the juice bar’s website.
Derbyshire did not provide further details about the new location at this time.
