A local wine bar and tapas restaurant is expanding after two years in Bluffton.

Wine Time Artisan Kitchen & Wine Bar is in the works in the city, aiming to be a “destination for fine wine, food, and unforgettable experiences.”

The new location will offer an expanded menu, with a full kitchen and refined small-plate menu designed for wine pairings. It will be located at Washington Square, a mixed-use development in Bluffton.

Wine Time’s flagship location opened in Old Town Bluffton at 6 Promenade Street in 2023. The space features a wine bar with indoor and outdoor seating. An ever-changing selection of wine is available to enjoy by the glass, along with complementary bites, or to take home by the bottle. The food menu includes charcuterie, salads, flatbreads, paninis and other shareable dishes like marinated olives and hummus with pita.

Wine Time hosts events like themed Wine Battles, which pits several wines against each other, giving participants an opportunity to discover new wines while supporting local nonprofit organizations. They also offer the Wine Time Bottle Club in which members receive two curated wines each month hand-selected by wine expert and general manager Kevin Cleary.

Cleary told What Now Charleston they are targeting a mid to late July opening for the new location.
