According to public records, Charleston Place Hotel has requested preliminary approval from the Board of Architectural Review for alterations to its roof bar and terrace, among other things.

Beekman Hospitality acquired the 434-room property in 2021 with the intention to completely transform all aspects of the hotel, including its lobby, courtyards, guest rooms, spa, bard, restaurants, retail shops, meeting space and pool area, Charleston Regional Business Journal previously reported.

“Guests and locals can expect to see additional new programming and installations including high teas, Sunday brunch, daily live music, historical tours, wellness offerings and alliances with local organizations and businesses,” the Journal stated.

The entire renovation process is expected to take multiple years.

Beemok Hospitality Group’s other current assets include The Cooper Hotel, Sorelle restaurant and market, The Riviera Theater, Credit One Stadium, and a yet-to-be named concept at 141 Meeting Street.

A representative from Charleston Place could not be immediately reached for comment.
