A popular eatery known for its tacos, burgers and bowls closed earlier this month, but it’s not a permanent goodbye.

Chow Daddy’s, owned by Price Beall, was located at 15 Towne Dr. A message on the restaurant’s website reads: “We are excited to announce that beginning September 8th Chow Daddy’s Bluffton location will close to begin renovations for a new financial institution coming to our community.”

According to The Island Packet, a national banking company expressed interest in the Belfair Towne Village location, prompting Chow Daddy’s to begin actively searching for a new home.

Chow Daddy’s menu features a mix of fare made with fresh, local and organic ingredients.

Taco highlights include the Smoked Chicken Taco with pulled chicken, avocado, corn salsa, slaw, and house pickled peppers, and the Fish Taco with spicy grilled mahi and peppadew sauce.

Burgers showcase the signature Chow Daddy’s Burger with havarti cheese, arugula, caramelized onions, and garlic aioli, and the Fried Chicken Bun with pimento cheese and sriracha aioli.

Bowls like the Pulled Chicken Bowl with basmati rice, slaw, and salsa verde, and the Poke Bowl with raw tuna, avocado, mango, and sesame ginger dressing round out the menu.

In the meantime, Chow Daddy’s fans can stop by their Hilton Head Island location while the team works to secure a new permanent spot.

What Now Charleston reached out to the Chow Daddy’s team, however they have not yet responded. This article will be updated when more details become available.
