A traveling pie and espresso shop will soon open its first brick-and-mortar cafe in Summerville.
CiderHouse Pie Cafe + Espresso announced the news on Facebook, regularly sharing updates about the upcoming cafe at 100 Old Trolley Rd, Suite A.
In a post regarding the ongoing construction, owner Debbie Wentzel shared, “Our team has been hard at work crafting the perfect space for y’all, hopefully to be a place you’ll want to linger in with friends and family.”
Originally sold out of a pop-up tent, at Colleton County Museum, and made to order by appointment, Wentzel’s sweet treats have gained a loyal following. In addition to the pies and pastries, CiderHouse will offer scratch-made breakfast biscuits on Saturday mornings, as well as cakes, savory goods, smoothies, craft espresso coffees, and more.
Wentzel is committed to environmentally friendly practices, always adhering to ethical sourcing while supporting local producers and farmers. She also operates the Lowcountry Cannoli & Coffee food truck, serving boba, coffee, espresso, and cannoli from her bright blue truck.
This Sunday, CiderHouse Pie Cafe and Espresso is hosting a ‘Sneak Peek Sunday’ event from 1-4 p.m., featuring a special gift card promotion where guests will receive 5% off gift cards over $75.
While an official grand opening date has not yet been set, Wentzel hopes to open CiderHouse Pie Cafe + Espresso by the end of July 2024.
