Culver’s, the popular burger and frozen custard chain, is coming to Beaufort. The fast casual restaurant is slated to open by the end of this summer, according to franchise owner David Page.
In addition to its large selection of burgers and fresh frozen custards, Culver’s serves a variety of all-American staples like chicken tenders, sandwiches, fried fish, grilled Reuben melt, corn dogs, Wisconsin cheese curds, chili cheddar fries and salads.
When asked why he chose this location, Page responded, “Beaufort is really a beautiful community and it continues to grow. After searching different areas, it really stood out to my wife and I because it truly represents the same values that we look for at Culver’s – it’s welcoming and hospitable.”
“We chose to move into the old Applebee’s on Boundary Street because vacant buildings do the community no good. We love that location and think it’ll really strive in that area,” added Page.
Page plans to completely gut and renovate the old Applebee’s space, with the intention of making it feel fresh and new. The Culver’s will feature a drive through as well as indoor seating where guests will order at the counter and their food will be made to order.
“Currently, there are three Culver’s in the Charleston area and two in Savannah, so it’s a good middle point for a new location.”
Culver’s was founded in Wisconsin in 1984 and has since grown to over 950 locations throughout the U.S.
